The first attempt.
Devello began in software. A small startup, the earnest kind — roughly forty thousand dollars and many months of back-and-forth with developers. Then the pandemic arrived and the product the world had briefly needed was no longer needed at all.
It was a hard lesson, and the right one. Shipping software is mostly not the code. It is the clarity to pick the right problem, and the patience to carry it the rest of the way.
