A practice of building.

Devello is a single practice with two forms. Rooms that hold people well. Software that does the same. The medium changes. The intent doesn't.

Software

The first attempt.

Devello began in software. A small startup, the earnest kind — roughly forty thousand dollars and many months of back-and-forth with developers. Then the pandemic arrived and the product the world had briefly needed was no longer needed at all.

It was a hard lesson, and the right one. Shipping software is mostly not the code. It is the clarity to pick the right problem, and the patience to carry it the rest of the way.

Construction

Rooms with care.

When the screens closed, the walls opened. For six years Devello operated as a premium interiors firm across New York — coordinating contractors, materials, timelines, permits, moods. More than fifty projects. Homes and offices for executives, teachers, landlords, business owners. The kind of work where a single room can hold a decade of a person's life.

The practice taught something software couldn't. How to be the interface between a client and something complex. How to carry someone else's life on your shoulders and hand it back whole. How to make something beautiful on a budget, on a deadline, and under weather.

The construction practice still stands. Rooms, homes, offices — over fifty projects across New York. See the work.

Studios

Back to software. With everything learned.

Four years of quiet self-teaching ran alongside the construction work. That discipline has now come back into digital form through Devello Studios. Three products shipping: Sygil, a thinking tool; Osmo, a voice-first personal AI; Sivra, a recursive research platform. Each one applies the same principle the rooms did — the person in front of you is more important than the tool you're holding.

Different materials. Same care. The legacy continues.

Two houses. One practice.

From interiors to software, built with heart.
